Registered Manager- Children and Young People

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager in a reputable, established multi-home organisation. You will hold overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the Children’s Home and accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their physical, psychological, emotional & social development. The home is an existing home with a Good Ofsted Rating. Your key responsibilities as the Registered Service Manager: Reporting to the Operations Manager and with the support of an Assistant Manager, you will effectively and efficiently manage a Multi-Building Registration. Responsible for the leadership, management, and operation of your service, supporting children and young people. Through your positive outlook and ability to see beyond behaviours work towards the progression and development of the children we look after Set the operational direction and organise the effective running of the service to meet its statement of purpose. Mentor and support residential support workers to be the best they can be Work in partnership with external agencies What you need: A Level 5 in Leadership and management (Children and Young People) Good knowledge around Children’s Homes regulations (2015), Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards At least 3 years’ experience within a children’s residential homes and 1 years’ experience at a Senior level A Full UK driving licence Benefits: Benefits: 32 days A/L which includes Bank Holidays- this will increase by a day for the first 3 years Ofsted Bonus: £3000 for an ‘Outstanding’ report and £1500 for a ‘Good’ report Other: Company car/ travel allowance of £3000 pa Occupancy: Full occupancy- £300 per month Reasonable Adjustments: If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team.
