The Regional Fitness Manager serves as the primary fitness department leader between ownership and studio-level teams, translating organizational objectives into actionable strategies while identifying opportunities to improve profitability, member retention, sales performance, coach development, and overall studio effectiveness. **Scope of Responsibilities:** Ownership-Level - Manage payroll optimization for all levels of the fitness department including Regional Training Specialists, Fitness Development Specialists, Fitness Managers, and Coaches - Consistently update the ownership group with fitness objectives, events, and corporate brand initiatives - Advise the ownership group on processes, objectives, and strategies to drive overall business growth and progress Regional-Level - Develop vision and direction for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance expectations and communicate them in an effective way that drives adherence and output - Serve as a neutral party in managing individual studio schedules from a regional lens - Identify areas in need of improvement or upcoming events that may need training and create effective training content and material - Organize, schedule, and conduct trainings for all levels of the fitness department including coach workshops and management bootcamps - Manage the Fitness Development team to ensure evaluations are consistent in execution and in cadence across the region - Teach the Fitness Development team proper evaluation execution, feedback strategies, and accountability methods so evaluations prove effective - Coordinate with General Managers on the hiring needs of their studio, initially screen coaching candidates, organize and schedule OTFit training, and manage the integration of new coaching across the region - Advise Regional Operations Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Regional Marketing Manager on impacts to the fitness department regarding regional initiatives Studio-Level - Conduct studio visits to audit the performance of the fitness department including retention, utilization, output, and coaching performance - Hold the General Manager accountable to the performance of the Fitness Manager - Advise the General Manager on proper leadership over the Fitness Manager including how to galvanize, motivate, discipline, and grow them in their position. - Work closely with and support the Fitness Manager in teaching proper software execution, retention strategies, and creative solutions to impact the metrics of their department - Effectively and professionally work under home studio Fitness Manager, allowing home studio FM to make decisions and lead fitness team at that particular studio - Coach a consistent class count that still allows for regional presence Miscellaneous - Manage the substitute coaches to ensure the meeting of monthly requirements - Conduct training for substitute coaches outside of normal business hours to ensure standards are met - Navigate difficult coaching decisions including disciplinary action and termination - Consistently monitor the certification status of all coaches and effectively communicate updates to coaches - Utilize emotional intelligence to keep coach attrition low and keep staff engaged at a high level - Serve as a liaison b…
