The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large-scale cooling systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, and rack systems - Diagnose faults and perform repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systems - Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and temperature control - Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan - Handle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulations - Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints - Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentation - Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptly - Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion **Requirements:** - Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role - Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field - Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components - Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently - Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations - Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems and large-scale installations - Certification in refrigerant handling (EPA or equivalent/local certification) - Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills - Experience with energy management systems and controls
