Provide customer service at the front counter to ensure efficient and effective service for visitors, students and employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform the usual office routine tasks associated with a school setting. Greet visitors courteously, determine their needs, and assist them appropriately. Answer telephone and assist the public. Sort all incoming mail. Oversee copy machines and assist with copying. Write admit and tardy slips for student absences. Check out students. Assist parents and/or students who have questions, or refer them to the Principal/Vice-Principal. Orient, train, and monitor attendance for student office aides. Maintain filing systems for hard copies of staff attendance. Schedule substitutes for certified teachers and maintain records for payroll. Schedule substitutes for Special Education Multi-Disciplinary Task meetings. Maintain inventory filing system and track inventory in the building. Comply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, Public Education Department guidelines and local, state and federal laws. Accept other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor Support district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and secure Complete and comply with all required trainings annually Adhere to NM Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession (NMAC 6.60.9.8) Other duties as assigned, reasonably related to the scope of the position Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Dine language, culture, and history preferred Good communication skills and customer service skills Basic computer knowledge for data and word processing and records management Physical/Job Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a vehicle, traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, and effective communication skills.
