Receiving Supervisor Day Shift

**Job Overview** Gourmet Foods International is seeking a motivated and hands-on Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Receiving Department. This position is responsible for supervising team members, ensuring accurate and efficient receiving processes, maintaining inventory integrity, and promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Some of your duties may include:** - Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Receiving Department - Ensure all receiving procedures are followed accurately and efficiently - Monitor inbound shipments to verify product accuracy, quality, and documentation - Lead, coach, and support receiving team members to meet productivity and performance expectations - Schedule work assignments and monitor daily labor hours, including overtime - Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, documentation, and communication with warehouse teams - Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and prepared for the next shift - Promote and enforce warehouse safety policies and procedures - Maintain the safety, quality, and legality of food products - Collaborate with Warehouse, Inventory Control, Transportation, and Operations teams to support daily business objectives - Assist with problem resolution and continuous process improvement initiatives **Things you need to be able to do:** - 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory experience - Forklift experience and the ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Ability to work independently while leading a team - Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force - Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday - Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods - Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
