General Purpose: The Receiving Specialist II is responsible for accurately processing and documenting inbound materials to support Glock’s manufacturing and distribution network. In addition to core receiving functions, this role owns inventory control and replenishment processes. This position ensures ERP system accuracy, resolves discrepancies, and maintains alignment between physical and system inventory. The Receiving Specialist II serves as a key link between Receiving, Purchasing, Planning, and other operational and administrative functions, supporting efficient material flow, regulatory compliance, and overall operational performance. Shift(s) Available: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned): Inbound Shipment Processing Receive and inspect inbound materials for accuracy, condition, and compliance with purchase orders. Verify piece counts, lot numbers, and serial numbers as required. Document and report discrepancies or damages to the Supervisor for timely resolution. Ensure compliance with all applicable firearms regulations and company policies. ERP & Documentation Accuracy Accurately record material receipts and inventory transactions within the ERP system. Maintain all required documentation for inbound shipments, including packing slips and receiving logs. Apply and verify item labels to ensure proper identification and traceability for putaway. Audit and validate system transactions to ensure alignment between physical and system inventory. Inventory Control Own inventory control processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance resolution. Manage and execute replenishment activities to support production, order fulfillment, and internal business needs. Analyze inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or delays to Planning and Purchasing. Quality & Compliance Conduct quality inspections on received goods to verify compliance with company standards. Adhere to OSHA and internal safety procedures during unloading, handling, and storage. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area consistent with 5S and Lean principles. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve discrepancies, expedite critical materials, and support overall operational priorities. Serve as a point of contact for inventory-related issues and provide timely resolution across departments. Partner with internal customers to ensure timely material availability for production and order fulfillment. Continuous Improvement Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve receiving accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Assist in training and onboarding team members on receiving and inventory control processes. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, or order fulfillment operations. Strong understanding of inventory management, reconciliation, and replenishment processes. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO) and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Experience using ERP, WMS (Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365), and inventory management systems; proficiency in data entry and report generation.
