Receiving Associate

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** Responsible for efficiently and accurately handling products in and out of the warehouse facility. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Ship & receive merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment. - Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure that ordered merchandise has been received; that merchandise is as ordered and not damaged or defective; enter data into remote data terminal. - Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise. - Replenish the pick locations as identified by replenishment reports and various requests for merchandise. - Load outgoing merchandise. - Report damages and/or vendor compliance issues to the supervisor. - Partner with the supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies. - Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards. - Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, such as kitting, boxing, cycle count inventory, and inspecting stock. - All other duties as assigned. **REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:** - Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. - Experience with inventory/cycle counting a plus. - Sufficient literacy to read and understand item code labels. - Forklift experience is required. Certification is a plus. We will train. **QUALIFICATIONS:** - Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required to be successful in this position. - Reliable attendance is required to be successful in this position. - Basic computer skills - Solid basic math skills are necessary for daily tasks and year-end inventory. They include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. - Ability to work in and promote a team environment. - Work performed in a warehouse-type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions. - Work surfaces are concrete. Personnel will stand while performing much of their respective job functions. - Hard-working and strong work ethic. - Overtime may be required, including some occasional weekends. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** - Continuous (6 to 8 hours) repetitive motions, including sitting, standing, bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, kneeling, crouching, grasping, and pulling repeatedly throughout the shift. - Good hand and eye coordination. - Required to repetitively lift from 5 to 50 lbs. including reaching above shoulder level, at and below waist level depending on the job. - Hearing and vision within normal ranges to prepare and review documents. - Hand dexterity and strength to include simple grasping, power grasping, and fine motor skill manipulation. - Ability to safely operate equipment such as a Hi-Lo, Forklift, and Scissor-lift. - Safety equipment provided based on the specific job.
