Radiology Technologist - Full Time

**Beloit Health System is looking to add a Radiology Technologist to our Team!** - **Sign-on Bonus:**Yes - **Shift:**2nd - **Hours per week:** 40 - **Benefits Status:** Benefits Eligible - **Department:**Radiology Provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. - Performs diagnostic radiographic services. - Greets customers in a friendly but professional manner. - Ensures proper patient and film identification. - Operates diagnostic imaging equipment. - Operates other equipment/devices as appropriate. - Positions patients. - Immobilizes patients as necessary. - Selects and/or calculates exposure factors according to age specific guidelines. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient„, self, and others. - Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification. - Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures. - Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required. - Initiates basic life support procedures for patients if necessary. - Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc. Performs quality control checks as required. - Sometimes requires working irregular hours. - Maintains accurate patient records and file with confidentiality. - Assumes responsibility for assigned area ensuring the work area is neat, orderly and stocked. - Supervises, assists, instructs and communicates effectively with radiology students. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** - Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology and AART registered. - Licensed in the State of Wisconsin. - CPR Certification within 90 days of hire - Self-motivated. - Ability to be flexible. - Ability to problem-solve and function independently. - Institutional commitment. - Must adhere to established to regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System, and department policies, rules and regulations. - Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists/MDs. - Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging **BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE** The mission of Beloit Health System requires the employee to perform in a manner which ensures delivery of the highest quality of medical services at an economic value and at the highest level of patient satisfaction.
