RADIOLOGY TECH- PRN- Carlsbad

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** - - **Works for Multiple physicians** - **Must be able to work and travel to Artesia and Carlsbad** - Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic imaging examinations according to department protocols. - Analyze imaging, synthesize imaging information and medical history, and document proper information for physician. - Assume responsibility for safety, mental and physical comfort of patient while in the care of the technologist. - Assist with daily operations of the department - Maintain diagnostic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies. - Use independent judgment during patient exam to accurately differentiate normal and pathologic findings. - Order and stock supplies for AGH material department. - Purge and maintain disposal log for plain film exams. - Assist Clinical assistants as time allows between exams. **ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**: - - As assigned. **KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:** - - Basic computer skills. - Interpersonal and communication skills. **AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES:** Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position. **Information Management:** Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security. **Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety:** Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations. **ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:** Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids. **MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:** - **Education** – Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology. - **Work Experience** – N/A - **Training**- N/A - **License/Certification** – ARRT and State of New Mexico certifications; current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
