The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections is seeking qualified applicants for Radiologic Technologist positions (levels 1–3). This position performs diagnostic imaging procedures, ensures patient safety, and maintains accurate medical records within a secure healthcare environment. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found [here.](https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=118560) **Job Duties:** - Performs all x-ray treatment, including IVPs (Intravenous Pyelograms), and examinations under the supervision of a Radiologic Technologist Supervisor or the attending physician on the assigned shift. Assist with examinations, and on occasion prepares and delivers reports to ordering physician. Assures the quality of all x-rays, including the most complex, made on that shift. - Performs daily equipment checks to ensure that all radiographic equipment is safe and ready to use. - Differentiates between film, CR, and DR imaging formats and adjusts techniques accordingly. - Reviews images to ensure the image quality and patient positioning are within established standards.
