RESPONSIBILITIES: General and Task Management: 1. Takes lead role in Warranty Lab daily function and communicates/coordinates with Quality Engineers. 2. Provide support to the various processes for warranty returns, customer concerns, and EDER systems. 3. Perform electrical, mechanical and functional tests of products, using specified test protocols. 4. Perform visual evaluation and dimensional measurement of product, using fixed or preset measuring instruments or instruments set according to established work manual. 5. Conduct detailed analysis of warranty return parts to support the development of corrective and recurrence prevention actions. 6. Write simple reports and provide detailed evidence to appropriate team members. 7. Communicate analysis results to appropriate team members in order to obtain robust short term, recurrence prevention, and long-term corrective actions aimed at supporting customer KPI, warranty prevention, and cost reduction (i.e. aimed at EDER). 8. Provide technical support to all internal departments to maintain and improve product quality. 9. Support the groups adherence/compliance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS 10. Calibrate gauging and equipment according to established procedures. 11. Record test and measurement data, using statistical process control procedures, and report data in appropriate formats as needed. 12. Support regular meeting within group to support establishment of action plans to support EDER activities and to reduce warranty claims/cost. 13. Ensure all warranty returns flow through the warranty department in a timely manner (EDER). · ED coordination · Daily part reception and shipping · Database management · KPI monitoring/reaction. 14. Provide feedback to management regarding continuous improvement activities. Support or lead continuous improvement projects 15. Undertake special projects as required. 16. Establish and achieve goals that support the groups short- and long-term goals. 17. Maintain Lab and workspace 5S, support continuous improvement to establish 1 second find / 1 second reach. People / Relationship Management: 1. Support warranty engineers. 2. Support internal groups as it relates to part quality. 3. Communicate efficiently. 4. Liaise and communicate with warranty engineers, other departments, customers, and suppliers where appropriate. 5. Commitment to customer satisfaction EDUCATION AND EXPRERIENCE: 1.
