# **Job Description** Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Shelbyville Liquids production plant! **JOB OVERVIEW:** The Quality Tech supports can be in data gathering and analysis, quality system development, quality auditing, developing customer specific quality systems and method development, internal audits, and document control. **STARTING PAY:** $18-21/hour, based on skillset **SHIFTS AVAILABLE:** 2-2-3 12-hour Straight Nights, 7:00-7:00 OR M-F Day shift **Every other weekend off!** **BENEFITS:** - **Benefits Day 1**: Medical, Dental, Vision! - **Retirement:** 401(k) match up to 8% - **Referral Bonus:** up to $1,000 - **Retention Bonus:** $1,000 - **Perfect Attendance bonus** as well! **WHAT YOU GET TO DO** - Perform verification testing as specified in the appropriate specification and/or other means as appropriate. - Record test results and file QC records. Quarantine non-conforming material, and notify Production Supervision of non-conforming products. Organize for daily MRB meeting. - Document and control sample retain and retain storage for future reference in case a quality concern would arise. - Audit job data and release product from quality inspection. - File Hold Tickets and Specification Deviation Request as applicable. - Assist Quality Assurance Manager in implementing and maintaining the most effective and efficient procedures for optimum quality assurance. - Assist in maintenance of adequate quality records. - Assist in training personnel in inspection methods and quality requirements. - Review necessary documentation at shift huddles. - Assist manufacturing /engineering in conducting process capability and control studies (SPC-Statistical Process Control) to assure product quality. - Maintain the measurement device calibration system and perform calibrations as required by the system, assist in Gage R&R studies. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager. - Responsible for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment: attend required training, identifies and reports hazards; wear required PPE for position; and is accountable for self as well as co-worker safety. - This position is responsible for ensuring that verification testing is completed and if material is found out of specification the material is bound and quarantined. - This position is responsible for ensuring calibration records are generated and retained appropriately, and the quality records such as inspection sheets, job jacket, etc. are retained appropriately. **WHAT WE VALUE** - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of quality assurance principles and methods. Must be able to use handheld measuring devices. - Requires the ability to read drawings and interpret data related to specific quality criteria determined by our customers. - Ability to work effectively with others. - Ability to effectively make quality-related decisions that are in the best interest of Amcor Healthcare Packaging New London and other customers. **WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU** - A high school diploma or equivalency is required. - 1-2 years of experience in the packaging industry is a plus. - Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a quality technician is required. - An employee in this position is required to regularly stand, sit and walk. In addition, this position requires considerable manual dexterity for use of testing equipment, computer keyboard and mouse.
