## Description Provides quality support to assigned production operations to ensure the integrity of components and products produced. The individual aggressively drives quality improvement efforts in assigned areas with the goal of achieving "zero defect" performance, supports process improvement and problem-solving efforts with the focus on protecting and improving product quality. This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. He/she will actively participate in the Safety Engagement program, as well as, follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies. • Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned areas through participation as integral part of manufacturing team. • Drives and champions quality improvement efforts. • Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis. • Responsible for New Product Qualifications, and verification of changes to current product. • Through the application of APQP, supports the external customers in New Product Introduction. • Insures that internal customer needs for Control Systems are met in a timely and functional manner. • Results for this position will be measured by improvements to Customer Satisfaction and Internal Scrap rate. • Optimizes Process Capability on significant characteristics through effective application to statistical analysis techniques and training of Production in Problem-Solving. • Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making. • Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action. **Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:** • Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures; actively participate in a safety engagement team, as well as follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies • Wear PPE when appropriate in designated areas 1. Ability to learn new technologies quickly 2. Action-oriented 3. Drive and acumen to develop new skills 4. Communication skills **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree required **Experience:** • Bachelor’s Degree required. Engineering or Manufacturing/Industrial Technology preferred. • 0-2 years of related experience; experience in the automotive industry preferred. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Knowledge of QS-9000 and TS16949 automotive quality standards a plus. • Above average computer skills in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, and Access.
