A **Quality Control Technician is critical in supporting day-to-day QA functions, performing inspections, and maintaining documentation required for certification readiness and ongoing compliance** This is a part- time position scheduled Friday through Monday from 4am-10am. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform routine quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. - Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and support HACCP plan implementation and verification. - Document and report quality deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions. - Support internal audits and assist with third-party audits, including those required for SQF and USDA certification. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, logs, and reports for quality inspections, sanitation, and equipment checks. - Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and SOPs. - Collaborate with production teams to ensure food safety protocols and GMPs are followed. - Participate in employee training sessions related to food safety and quality. - Monitor sanitation practices and conduct environmental swabbing as required. - Assist in maintaining product traceability and recall procedures. ## Requirements - Minimum 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing or meat production environment, preferred. - Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, USDA, and SQF requirements. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality assurance. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with QA software systems is a plus. - Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold or humid environments as needed.
