## Description **Summary** Perform quality checks to ensure shelling functions meet specs, checks to ensure production monitoring is performed, ensure QA and GMP policies are followed. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - · Checks samples of shelled product to ensure equipment is functioning properly with documented feedback to supervisor. - · Ensures all testing equipment is calibrated and in working order. - · Supports all BRC and HACCP responsibilities for the facility. - · Places out-of-spec product on hold and notify management. - · Makes sure hull and oil-stock equipment are properly maintained and cleaned per OEM requirements to minimize downtime. - · Perform loss checks (meat in hulls, stoners for peanuts, shellers for unshelled). - · Assists with sanitation and production as needed providing it does not limit core QA mission. - · Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices and assist with any other duties assigned by Shift Supervisor. - · Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process. - · Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. - · Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. - · Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis. **Supervisory Responsibilities** This job has no supervisory responsibilities. **Competencies** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies : - · Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Works well in group problem solving situations. - · Technical Skills - Is comfortable using test equipment and current technology; Pursues training and development opportunities; Shares expertise with others. - · Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments. - · Interpersonal Skills - Listens to others without interrupting. - · Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings. - · Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information. - · Teamwork - Supports everyone's efforts to succeed. - · Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. - · Cost Consciousness - Contributes to profits and revenue . - · Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality. - · Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. - · Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions ; Uses equipment and materials properly. - · Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. - · Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. - · Personal Appearance – Dresses appropriately for the position and is well groomed - · Innovation - Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work. **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
