Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist performs quality assurance activities ensuring BIM Task Order deliverables, installations, and operations meet contract requirements and quality standards. This position is a hybrid position with most work being remote, with attendance at our headquarter office in McLean, VA as needed for meetings, work sessions, etc. Since 1976, SMS has specialized in modernizing legacy IT and sustaining complex enterprise environments for federal agencies. Job Responsibilities Perform quality assurance activities ensuring BIM Task Order deliverables, installations, and operations, meet contract requirements and quality standards Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection processes Conduct internal audits verifying compliance with technical specifications, installation standards, and operational procedures Review deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Contract Data Requirements List specifications Perform installation quality inspections ensuring adherence to approved designs and industry standards Track non-conformances and corrective actions ensuring timely resolution Develop quality metrics and performance indicators Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues Support continuous improvement initiatives identifying process enhancements Ensure compliance with company quality management system and government quality requirements Prepare quality reports and metrics for program management Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for quality issue resolution Required Qualifications BA/BS Degree 5 years' experience Quality certifications (ASQ CQE, Six Sigma) preferred. Some travel may be required for his position (5% or less) DoD Secret security clearance required or the ability to successfully pass a background check and obtain an interim Secret clearance.
