Qualified Social Worker - Learning Disabilities

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join its client’s Learning Disabilities Team based at the Civic Centre in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with adults with learning disabilities, delivering high-quality, person-centred support and helping individuals achieve positive outcomes through strengths-based practice. **Benefits** - £38 per hour - Flexible locum opportunity - Supportive team environment - Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within Adult Services **What will your responsibilities be?** As a Social Worker within the Learning Disabilities Team, you will undertake assessments and reviews for adults with learning disabilities, managing a varied caseload while delivering strengths-based, person-centred interventions. You will work collaboratively with service users, carers, health professionals, and partner agencies to promote independence and achieve positive outcomes. You will support individuals across front door services, community teams, and hospital discharge pathways, ensuring that care and support plans are tailored to meet individual needs. You will also assess and manage complex risks, contribute to safeguarding processes, and work within relevant legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
