QA LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

### Description *Position at JBS USA* Description - Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations. - Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed. - Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations. - Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request. - Aid QA and/or FS Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations. - Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements. - Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed. - · Data entry and Manage data - Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Must demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBS - Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervision - Must be able to motivate, train, and teach employees their job to JBS standards - Good Communication Skills - Track record of positive Work Performance - Computer skills required - Able to work 2nd shift when required - · Problem analysis · Quality and work standards PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Constant walking and or standing - Use of hands to fingers - Feel objects - Reach with hands and arms - Lift up to 50 lbs - Vision capabilities EXPOSURE/RISK - Hot, cold, wet and damp environment - Standing for prolonged periods of time - Uneven walking surfaces and slippery floors - Exposure to blades - Walking up and down stairs and ladders STANDARD EQUIPMENT - Hard Hat - Safety Glasses - Hair Net/Beard Net - Appropriate GMP equipment - Safety Toe Boots Specific Equipment - Hearing protection
