QA Engineer – SAP Commerce (Hybris)

Our partner is looking for a QA Engineer – SAP Commerce (Hybris) based in India.** We are seeking a QA Engineer specialized in SAP Commerce (Hybris) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise commerce applications. The role focuses on designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies across functional, integration, API, and end-to-end workflows. You will collaborate with developers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software releases. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and complex commerce ecosystems. The ideal candidate will combine strong QA expertise with technical skills in automation, troubleshooting, and Agile delivery practices. You will contribute to continuous quality improvements by building scalable testing solutions and enhancing software reliability. ### Accountabilities: The QA Engineer will be responsible for validating SAP Commerce applications, improving test automation processes, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle. - Design, create, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Validate critical commerce workflows, including product catalog, search, pricing, promotions, shopping cart, checkout, payments, order management, refunds, and customer account processes. - Test SAP Commerce Backoffice configurations, including pricing rules, promotion rules, inventory management, order statuses, and product synchronization. - Validate ImpEx imports and ensure data integrity across different environments. - Perform API testing for SAP Commerce OCC REST APIs and supporting microservices, validating contracts, business logic, error handling, and edge cases. - Develop, maintain, and optimize UI automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium. - Build and maintain API automation solutions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Pytest. - Integrate automated testing into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation. - Improve automation stability, execution efficiency, reporting, and test coverage. - Manage defects through JIRA by documenting issues, reproduction steps, severity, logs, and supporting evidence. - Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes, validate fixes, and perform regression testing. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. - Review user stories and acceptance criteria to identify testing requirements and potential risks early. - Apply QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes and standards. - Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity and engineering efficiency. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate should have solid experience in software quality assurance, SAP Commerce testing, and test automation, with strong analytical abilities and experience working in Agile environments. - 3–5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience testing SAP Commerce (Hybris) applications. - Strong understanding of SAP Commerce architecture, including OCC REST APIs, Backoffice, HAC, ImpEx, Promotion Engine, and Order Management. - Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms built on SAP Commerce is preferred. - Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium. - Experience with API automation using Postman, REST Assured, Pytest, or similar tools. - Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, including Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript. - Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines. - Strong knowledge of Git version control practices. - Exp…
