**Position SUMMARY** As a Purification Product Specialist, this position acts as the liaison between all North American and global commercial teams and helps drive our purification revenue. This position will collaborate and oversee the development and implementation of product strategy, support, and product roadmaps for all chromatography products to support business expansion with new customers and markets. The position will work closely with global commercial teams (sales, marketing, and product management) to develop product and sales strategies in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Support the sales team by providing information specific to chromatography and purification-related products, such as developing technical information and presentations, creating product recommendations for customer applications, researching competitor product comparisons, and developing applications to support sales strategy. - Provide guidance and support in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to expand business with new customers within assigned territory, keeping in mind the product vision to achieve specific goals in reaching targets, market growth, and customers. - Continuously improve knowledge of the flash, prep and evaporation markets, their trends, and our competitors in North America. - Work with a cross-functional team of suppliers and internal resources such as sales, engineering, marketing, and others to cohesively align and bring solutions to market that meet customer needs. - Work with North American sales team - Work with VP North American Sales to design and deliver customer centric sales training to support sales strategy - Support sales process as technical expert - Provide product demonstrations as needed to support customer decision process - Work with product managers to create and implement: - Customer centric sales training - Maintain North American price lists - Support the development and launch of new products to ensure regional needs are met - Provide feedback on products, market dynamic, and/or competitive changes to product management - Work with Marketing to - Create content to support the marketing of our solutions - Present posters and talks for select conferences to highlight the scientific application of our solutions - Create and execute webinars either as an expert or in collaboration with customers/key opinion leaders - Work with customer support to - Expand and solidify their product knowledge and ability to guide customers to fulfill their needs - Communicate changes in product features and availability (i.e. availability of service parts) - Establish customer training guidelines and protocols for purification instrumentation - Actively seek customer and marketing data as a product alignment and innovation source. - Act as internal and external product champion for the assigned product(s) – be the 'one-stop-shop' for all information on the product line. Work collaboratively across the organization. - Understand and adapt to changing market conditions affecting the product line - Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders regarding product and market information **QUALIFICATIONS** - BS in Chemistry or a closely related field - Strong working knowledge of chromatographic techniques and hands-on experience in flash and preparative chromatography purification and mass spectrometry - Three years of progressively responsible experience with product management and technical support preferred - Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Ability to resolve complex problems, communicate, and propose solutions to external customers and internal team members - Team-oriented with a customer satisfaction mindset.
