As a System Administrator you will ensure users can access and use computer networks throughout the workday acting as the front line for the IT department. You will be expected to maintain, upgrade and manage software, hardware and networks. You will accomplish this by effectively communicating/coordinating with multiple vendors and clients. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently while adhering to organizational security policies and procedures. **Essential Job Functions** An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties: - Install and configure software and hardware - Organize, modify, and support the organization's computer systems, including operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, email systems, and user hardware (laptops, PCs) - Manage network servers and technology tools - Research upcoming products, service protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts. - Quickly resolve any system failures and troubleshoots issues. - Ensure an uninterrupted internet connection and manage mail servers for sending and receiving emails and file servers for saving and managing data. - Set up accounts and workstations - Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements - Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls - Upgrade systems with new releases and models - Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies - Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users **Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications** - Proven experience as a System/Network Administrator, [IT](https://resources.workable.com/network-administrator-job-description) Specialist or similar role - Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management - Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery - Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms - Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude - 5+ years related experience - Associate's Degree or higher - *(Or an equivalent combination of education and experience)* - Excellent communication and time management skills - SNSA Certification, MCP Certification
