PURPOSE: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading and executing all purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, MRO supplies, and services. This role focuses on purchase order management, material availability, supplier coordination, and alignment of purchasing activities with production demand and inventory requirements. KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and forecast raw material requirements aligned with the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) demand plan to ensure material availability for production. Conduct quarterly reviews of raw materials to ensure MRP data aligns with current demand forecasts. Collaborate with Procurement to escalate and address raw material constraints that may impact production. Monitor VIM and Ariba systems to prevent payment processing delays and resolve any issues promptly. Oversee the completion and accuracy of mid-month and month-end accounting reports. Review and maintain department SOPs and work instructions, ensuring compliance and recertification requirements are met. Evaluate new business cases and support Request for Change (RFC) approvals. Review Outline Agreements, Info Records, and Source Lists in SAP to ensure accuracy of vendor material setup. Manage purchase orders for MRO supplies and equipment across all company locations. Support sourcing and procurement of all raw materials in coordination with internal stakeholders. Review daily shortage reports to ensure timely ordering and avoid production disruptions. Partner with Procurement to identify and implement raw material cost savings initiatives. Oversee and continuously improve Purchasing team performance and operational efficiency. Perform additional duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (Purchasing or Supply Chain specialization preferred). 5+ years' experience in purchasing or a related filed, with demonstrated experience in a Purchasing leadership role preferred. CORE COMPETENCIES Advanced data analysis and interpretation to support strategic purchasing decisions Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, data modeling, and reporting) Experience with Power BI for data visualization, dashboard creation, and actionable insights Proficiency in SAP (MM/PP modules preferred) including reporting, master data management, and purchasing transactions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration Leadership and team management capabilities Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
