The Sales Associate supports the team by following customer engagement strategies, and maintaining merchandising standards that support a positive customer experience. Kontoor values all perspectives and encourages candidates with different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking to apply. **Responsibilities:** *Brand Experience/Customer Service* - Ensure excellence in customer service in the store by upholding high retail standards to ensure an in-store experience that aligns with company standards. - Initiate conversations with all customers, building a relationship to learn interests and identify products to suggest. - Assist customer in the fitting room. - Recommends product that is aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling and encourages the customer to make a purchase. - Builds brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieves weekly loyalty sign up goals. - Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers. - Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance. - Provides information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications. *Visual, Operation, and Safety* - Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked. - Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures assigned, accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity. - Follow all company and store policies, processes, and procedures. - React quickly to all customers and/or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty. - Participates in Loss Prevention Audits, understands and complies with company loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink. **Position Competencies** - ***Bold Accountability:*** Demonstrate accountability and follow through on assigned responsibilities. - ***Customer Centric Innovation:*** Passion for the brand and knowledge of the customer and products. - ***Empowered Collaboration:*** Promote an environment that encourages feedback, belonging, participation, creativity, and learning by communicating best practices and ideas. - ***Global Agility:*** Willingness to make changes as suggested by manager on duty to meet store goals and create a positive work environment. - ***Strategic Foresight:*** Take initiative to work ahead, seeking guidance when appropriate. - ***Purposeful Integrity:*** Respect the background, experience, and unique differences of others, upholding the integrity and values of Kontoor Brands. - ***Urgency for Impact:*** Acts quickly to support sales, loyalty enrollment, and service goals. **Position Requirements:** - Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older. - Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business. - This role requires a minimum availability of 12 hours per week including one weekend day.
