PT Math Express Lab Assistant

This job requires general administrative and tutorial duties that are discipline specific to Statistics, Contemporary Math, and College Algebra. The incumbent is responsible for administrative and tutoring duties that will help assist students that are in the Math Express Laboratory.High School Diploma or GED with successful completion of college level statistics, Contemporary Math or College Algebra required. (Must upload transcripts to prove successful completion of college math to be considered for position)-- One year customer service wage earning experience required. Experience using Microsoft applications and the usage of mathematics software application required. •Must have ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels •Must be computer literate •Demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills as well as computational skills•Assisting student requesting walk-tutoring •Monitoring student use of math software, computers, and printer to include corrective action •Monitor and assist student use of personal and lab calculators •Tutors individuals and small groups as assigned •Run the Math Express Lab when the Math Express Coordinator and/or full time Math Express Lab Associate are not available or his/her schedule work time has concluded (per schedule) •Perform all other required tasks as assigned by the supervisor and departmental chair.
