**Position Summary**: The Associate Faculty in HVAC Technology is responsible for providing an invaluable service to the College and our students by providing instruction of HVAC and related courses for majors and non-majors district-wide. Instruction is provided primarily face-to-face courses throughout Cochise County and our entire services area **Essential Functions:** As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class. **Note: Cochise College requires a post offer, pre-employment background screening of all employees.** **Position is open until filled with applications reviewed upon receipt and may close at any time.** **Compensation: $925 per equated credit unit** **Duties and Responsibilities:** Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position: Teaches assigned courses to enrolled students and manages a diverse population of students in a classroom and laboratory setting; follows standardized instructional practices to include operational safety Assists in the preparation of curriculum, proposals and specifications; implements lesson plans; conducts pre- and post-assessment of students; evaluates, assesses and plans for students’ educational and social needs Collaborates with other faculty and staff in assessment of teaching strategies and the effectiveness of the instructional program to help promote a culture of continuous improvement Maintains student records, statistics, and/or other pertinent information as required by the college and the department Resolves issues relevant to area of responsibility and scope of authority, referring more difficult or complex problems to the appropriate Department Chair, Assistant Dean, or other College official Performs other related duties as assigned **General Expectations:** Employees are expected to accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner and to strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed.
