The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Phase 4 Modernization implementation activities ensuring successful installation, testing, cutover, and System Acceptance of modernized Base Area Network infrastructure. Up to 25% travel will be required for travel to oversee base projects as needed. Job Responsibilities Manages Phase 4 Modernization implementation activities ensuring successful installation, testing, cutover, and System Acceptance of modernized Base Area Network infrastructure Coordinates installation teams, schedules, and resources across all modernization activities Ensures execution aligns with PMO-approved System Planning, Requirements, Implementation Plan (SPRIP) and 18-month modernization timeline Manages Preliminary Integration Reviews (PIR) and Critical Integration Reviews (CIR) with Government stakeholders and base organizations Coordinates Integration Plan Acceptance processes ensuring timely Government approvals Manages Network Integration Lab operations and Qualification Testing activities Coordinates installation schedules, Authorized Service Interruptions, and base coordination requirements Manages equipment procurement, delivery, and logistics Oversees OSP fiber optic installations and ISP infrastructure deployments Coordinates with base Civil Engineering for AF Forms 332, 813, and 103 approvals Manages cutover planning and execution minimizing operational impacts Leads System Acceptance Testing coordination and documentation Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, information technology, or related field. Minimum 8 years of program/project management experience in network infrastructure implementation or telecommunications deployment. Department of Defense, Secret clearance or the ability obtain an interim Secret clearance PMP certification preferred Willing to travel throughout the US up to 25% SMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
