Join the Subsurface Team We’re Hiring a Project Manager This is not a coordination-only role. At Subsurface, the Project Manager is responsible for managing the overall construction schedule, contractual risk, project quality, customer and employee satisfaction, and organizational profitability. You will serve as a key connection point between the client’s project team and Subsurface’s operations and management team, helping ensure that each project is planned, communicated, executed, billed, and closed out with discipline and accountability. The Mission Your mission is to manage geotechnical construction projects safely, profitably, and in alignment with contract, quality, schedule, and customer expectations. Success in this role means: Projects are planned and executed with safety as a priority. Revenue and gross profit goals are met. Contractual risk is understood, communicated, and managed. Crews, equipment, and superintendents are coordinated for proper execution. Products are built in accordance with quality standards. Project issues are identified early and resolved before they create work stoppage. Clients and internal teams can rely on your communication, organization, and follow-through. Speed without safety, quality, profitability, or reliability is failure. Who This Role Is For This role is for someone who: Is honest about project risks, cost impacts, scope gaps, and schedule concerns. Is respectful when working with clients, superintendents, crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Is self-motivated and takes ownership of project outcomes. Applies creative problem-solving to project-specific challenges before they become delays. Is responsive when conditions change, decisions are needed, or issues arise. Is reliable in communication, documentation, billing, scheduling, and follow-through. Is fair in enforcing expectations, managing subcontractors, and resolving project issues. What You Will Do Adhere to company safety policy and model a commitment to working safely. Manage and promote a safe work environment by following the company safety program and OSHA requirements. Achieve revenue and gross profit goals. Manage projects with no rework or loss claims. Work toward maintaining a Net Promoter Score of 9.0 or higher. Develop and implement the job readiness process with internal and external stakeholders. Schedule crews and equipment with superintendents to ensure proper project execution.
