This position is open to anyone who meets the **minimum and selective qualifications** listed below. This is a **position specific**recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy or function only. You will need to reapply for any future recruitment conducted for this job classification. **Nature of Work:** The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a project manager with the responsibility of supervisory duties within the District 3 Maintenance Office. This position will require project management of various contracts with varying levels of complexity within Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. This position tracks and monitors all on-going contractor tasks being performed in the district and reports on a regular basis the status of all projects impacting District 3 Maintenance. This position shall also be responsible for providing initial approval of contractor invoices. This position will also be responsible for assisting with the management of Customer Care Management System (CCMS) issues dealing with maintenance operations. District Maintenance contracts are administered, and maintenance goals are accomplished by subordinate maintenance inspectors and construction inspectors performing under the supervision and direction of this position. This position works independently to advise and assist Assistant District Engineers, District Operations Engineers, Resident and Assistant Resident Maintenance Engineers, Highway Tech Managers, and consultants. Selective qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skill or ability).** **Notes**: 1. Additional work experience in professional engineering, or in technical engineering at the journey level or above, may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. 2. Possession of a master's degree in engineering may be substituted for one year of the required experience. 3.
