This role will support project teams by leading design aspects of assigned projects, maintaining project budget and schedule, providing technical expertise, and coordinating with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external partners. The Project Engineer will help achieve business objectives by supporting project execution, assisting with project opportunities and proposals, providing technical guidance to project teams, and serving as a subject matter resource within the group. In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency regarding the essential functions of the job found below. Essential Functions Direct and support project team members on various assignments as directed by the Project Manager, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship. Recommend and implement design changes based on client requests, project requirements, technical standards, and constructability considerations. Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams as needed to respond to inquiries and support project execution. Serve as a liaison between clients and project team members while helping communicate project scope, status, schedule, risks, and deliverables. Support project proposal efforts, including scope development, budget input, schedule planning, and coordination with project team members. Review, develop, and finalize engineering documents, design packages, technical reports, calculations, opinions of probable cost, and recommendations for Project Manager review and approval. Provide construction-related support, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, supporting field questions, reviewing quantity and cost estimates, and helping resolve construction issues. Supervise, advise, train, and mentor assigned project team members while fostering collaboration across project teams and other teams within the firm. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by building personal networks, participating in applicable professional societies or trade associations, and staying current on industry standards and best practices. Work closely with other Energy teams within Atwell to share expertise, coordinate resources, and support overall project delivery. Manage workload effectively and communicate with the Project Manager and Team Leader regarding project status, priorities, and deadlines. Travel to project sites, client offices, Atwell offices, vendor facilities, or construction locations as needed. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field required. Professional Engineer license required, or ability to obtain based on state and project requirements.
