Working here, you’ll feel part of a family – a family of 400 that works together to help nourish the world. **Primary Function**: • Support operations by leading cross-functional project teams, ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of engineering projects while maintaining compliance with Abbott standards, FDA regulations, and infant formula quality requirements. **Major Responsibilities** • Lead full project lifecycle from initiation through design, construction, and closeout • Develop & manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including architects, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. • Prepare and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documents. • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and environmental requirements. • Oversee construction activities, perform site inspections, and resolve field issues. • Contribute to continuous improvement and capital planning efforts. • Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and external vendors • Participate in field execution, including site walks, inspections, and issue resolution. • Track project progress, document updates, and communicate status to stakeholders. • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to support project delivery. • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and completeness. • Support feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates. **Individual Skillset** • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of manufacturing systems, processing, utilities, and sanitary design. • Project Leadership: Leads cross-functional teams managing multiple concurrent plant projects. • Analytical Thinking: Solves complex engineering problems with data-driven, practical solutions. • Budget Management: Manages project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting effectively. • Regulatory Knowledge: Understands FDA, GMP, validation requirements in regulated environments. • Communication: Communicates clearly with stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings. • Contractor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinates contractors, vendors, resolving conflicts while maintaining project objectives. • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy reviewing drawings, specifications, and validation documentation. • Time & Priority Management: Manages priorities effectively to meet deadlines and plant schedules. • Adaptability: Adapts quickly to changing priorities in dynamic manufacturing environments. **REQUIRED**: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. • 3-5 years of experience in engineering and project management, with a focus on capital and infrastructure projects. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for planning, reporting and coll…
