Input customer billings in Intacct and Ariba - Create project accounts in the accounting system. - Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders. - Coordinate with Project Team to reflect changes in project scope or timeline. - Complete all postings, allocations, and accruals for projects. - Review and approve supplier invoices related to specific projects. - Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management. - Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings. - Report on project profitability to management. - Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects. - Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers. - Respond to requests for more detail from customers. - Close out project accounts upon project completion. **Experience and Requirements**: Education and Experience - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar business degree; or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5 years prior experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper. - Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments. - Strong communication skills. - Key competencies are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability. - Construction accounting experience a plus. - Knowledge of progress billings/AIA billings a plus.
