The Program Coordinator for Student Enrichment plays a vital role in cultivating student belonging, leadership, and engagement through dynamic programming and community-building initiatives. This position supports student organization development, coordinates programs, and contributes to signature events that reflect the values of the Office of Community Enrichment. **Program Leadership and Development** - Lead the design, implementation, and assessment of student-centered programs, including workshops and *Lead with Love*. - Assist with the development and facilitate training sessions for student organizations to enhance leadership, collaboration, Self-Awareness, and Community Enrichment. - Track attendance, collect feedback, and analyze demographic data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future event planning. **Campus Engagement and Collaboration** - Coordinate and support campus-wide traditions such Global Connections and Homecoming. - Serve on student-facing committees and planning groups (e.g., International Education Week, Global Connections, Trinity Forum). - Assist with the Office of Community Enrichment Alternative Spring Break - Represent the Office of Community Enrichment at admissions events and university-wide programming. **Event Support and Office Operations** - Oversee office event budget. - Ensure university policies are consistently applied to all aspects of event planning, including space reservations, vendor processes, licensing, and parking. - Maintain efficient systems for records management, correspondence, and reporting. - Perform general clerical duties, including database entry, filing, and mail preparation. - Supervise and mentor undergraduate office assistants. - Other duties as assigned. - Bachelor’s degree required. - At least one (1) year of experience in roles supporting high school or college students. - Possess a current, valid driver’s license. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software as needed. - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. - Strong commitment to the Christian mission of Samford University. - Proven ability to initiate and prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and ensure outcomes align with the mission of the Office of Community Enrichment and Samford University. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative. - Strong decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. - Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the university and the general public. - Physical ability to walk across campus as required. - Warm, pleasant, and professional demeanor with a commitment to collaboration. - Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. - Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field. - Experience working in a higher education setting. - Skills in additional languages, especially Spanish, to support student engagement and community building. - Relevant certifications or training that demonstrate professional expertise in student support and engagement.
