Professional Pet Groomer

Join Our Grooming Team at Family Pet Hospital! Family Pet Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment. This can be a Full or Part-Time position, with flexible scheduling options during our normal business hours. Qualifications: Professional grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments Strong customer service and communication skills Grooming certification is a plus Key Responsibilities: Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression Evaluate each pet�s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift Full-Time Benefits and Compensation** Compensation: $50% commission on grooms* Health Package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law 401k Match CE allowance Personal pet discount You will be paid a minimum hourly rate of $10/hr. for each hour worked. Your total compensation will be the greater of either: The applicable commission on grooming services performed, or The applicable minimum hourly rate for all hours worked.
