Office location is flexible**, but preference will be given to candidates that live in the Toledo or Columbus areas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in land surveying projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the collection and analysis of spatial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch surveying solutions. **This position provides a great career-growth opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded and energetic person who can effectively collaborate with teammates and Clients.** **The ideal candidate will:** - Conduct Field Surveys: Execute field surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners. - Boundary Determination: Analyze legal documents, deeds, and maps to establish and verify property boundaries. - Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to produce accurate survey maps, plats, and reports. - Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data. - Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in all surveying activities. - Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including engineers, architects, and GIS specialists, to integrate survey data into broader project plans. - Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment to guarantee accurate measurements. - Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, field notes, and reports related to surveying activities. - Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements, **Education, Experience, and General Skills:** - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead, and grow, teams. - 5+ Years survey experience - Must have your PS or ability obtain your PS within a reasonable time - Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks. - Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment. - Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized, and have a keen sense of detail.
