**PLEASE BE SURE TO SUBMIT A RESUME AND COVER LETTER WITH YOUR APPLICATION** Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience Shifts: Events occur mainly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 7:00 am - 12:00 am We are looking for theater technicians to support events in Sexson Auditorium and other large-scale spaces. Positions available are for lighting, audio, deck, and house staff. This is an hourly part-time position with flexible days and hours. Crews are scheduled based on theater reservations. Ninety (90) percent of shifts are scheduled with 4 weeks’ notice, ten (10) percentage of shifts are with 0 - 14 days’ notice. Shifts range from 4 to 12-hours. Most events occur in Sexson Auditorium, a 2000-seat proscenium theater.**EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:** - Audio: Experience with FOH live mixing, Avid S6L Venue digital consoles, room equalization, patching, mic/line splitting, microphones and mic and speaker placement. - Lighting: Experience with ETC APEX or Ti lighting consoles. Programming, patching, ability to read lighting plots, determine needed fixture. locations per performance, gel color, hanging fixtures and focusing. - Deck Hand: Experience with general stage set-ups including stage lighting, audio equipment, stage platforms, choir risers and orchestra shells. - Rigging: Experience with rigging using a counterweight system in a theater environment. - Projection: Experience setting up and operating front + rear projection systems. - House staff: Experience with theater house operations. Audience seating and safety. **REQUIREMENTS:** - Reliability. On time for all events - Experience with theater AV systems related to the position - Ability to follow instructions to complete a task - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Regular use of email communication - Ability to work from ladders up to 10 feet in height - Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds - Ability to move equipment in a reasonable amount of time - Ability to stand for long periods of time
