The College of Education/School of Lifelong Learning invites applications for a position as the Professional Development Assistant. - Responsible for supporting the Center for Professional Development staff with facilitating non-credit program planning, development and dissemination of reports through Microsoft Excel, marketing and training materials. - Helps to prepare training materials, collect data and prepare for the delivery of food services for meetings, conferences, trainings and other events. - Provides information to potential participants regarding training activities and program schedules and benefits via phone, email, as well as, prepare and mail training certificates. - Expected to maintain a cooperative working relationship with public and private organizations. - Performs other duties as assigned - An Associate’s Degree (or 2-years of college) is required; a minimum of 4-years of relevant work experience in adult education and/or professional training (workforce development) context. - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills are essential for this position. - Applicant must be willing to travel statewide and work evenings and some weekends as needed. - Must have or be eligible for a valid Mississippi Driver License and is able to quality for a university driving permit. - Applicants with strong technological skills and creative ideas on how to enhance learning and professional training opportunities are particularly desired.
