SLB is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our Surface Production Systems team as part of the Sales Management Technical Professionals (SMTP) Trainee program in **Fort St. John, British Columbia.** The trainee will participate in a three-year fixed-step rotational training program that delivers progressive exposure, practical experience, and professional development. Rotations include assignments in the shop, field operations, operations support, and formal classroom training. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will advance into a Technical Sales Representative role. This role is ideal for someone eager to build strong technical expertise while developing toward a future customer-facing sales position. Base Salary: $58,000 CAD + bonus **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Participate in the Surface Production Systems Sales Management Technical Professionals (SMTP) program to complete structured technical and commercial training. - Support field operations, shop rotations, and technical activities to build product and operational knowledge. - Assist in the execution of field jobs and progressively take ownership of job planning and delivery. - Collaborate with sales, operations, and support teams to understand customer requirements and business processes. - Participate in customer interactions and training programs to develop communication and commercial skills. - Ensure compliance with SLB Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards and reporting expectations. - Take ownership of personal development and proactively manage training progression. **Qualifications and Experience:** - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Industrial, or related) is required. - Previous internship or co-op experience in oilfield services, manufacturing, or technical environments is an asset. - Exposure to field operations or hands-on technical work is considered an asset. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. - Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, and take initiative in personal development. - Willingness to work in field-based roles and rotate across locations as required. - Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. - Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship Schlumberger Canada Limited is committed to workplace diversity and employment equity and supports initiatives to enhance employment opportunities for local workforces and Indigenous Persons.
