Production Supervisor Weekend Day Shift

This position is responsible for leading, supporting, and supervising a team of frontline employees within designated operational areas. The role ensures effective daily operations by providing direction, coaching, and performance management, while fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high standards of service, safety, and productivity. **At a Glance** **Legrand** has an exciting opportunity for a **Production Supervisor - Weekend Day Shift** to join the **Data center Power & Control/Starline** Team. This position reports to **Canonsburg, PA.** The **Production Supervisor-Weekend Day Shift** will direct the work of, support and supervise a team of frontline employees within a designated area or areas. **SCHEDULE: Fri/Sat/Sun - 6am to 6pm** ### Responsibilities - Mentor and coach department employees while maintaining high standards of conduct and leadership - Ensure that your team is trained to for success in current roles and can utilize materials properly and effectively; recommend any professional training employees may need - Establish and maintain an effective working relationship will all departments, including Quality for engineering updates and employee training - Work in collaboration with Line Leads to make sure all lines are running efficiently and following the Legrand Way - Direct the departmental work schedule while utilizing various systems and tools, including championing efforts associated with Legrand Way tools - Manages employee staffing levels and adjust as needed when last minute call offs occur or priorities change, escalate as needed - Ensure that all output meets Legrand standards of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, 5S and budgetary (tools, scrap, etc.) goals - Reporting requirements within the department and any other requests from management - Evaluate candidates and make recommendations for hiring decisions while managing staffing levels - Identify performance opportunities and make recommendations for improvement for individuals while ensuring implementation of those improvements - Work all shifts and departments, as needed, and take part in OT rotation - Maintain high employee morale - Write and deliver performance appraisals and make recommendations for merit increases - Cross train to work in other functional departments of the plant - Sets the tone for the other supervisors in the value stream with information provided in daily Tier boards/information provided by the Value Stream Manager. - Mentors more junior supervisors and provides assistance in training as needed. - Take part in OT rotation - Other duties as assigned by management ### Qualifications **Education** - High School Diploma or equivalent - Associate's degree preferred **Experience** - 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required - Previous experience as a Production Coordinator/Team Lead preferred - 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred **Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:** - Ability to run reports, effectively present information and respond to questions - Ability to learn Shop-Trak, Syteline and other systems - CloudSuite - Ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel proficiently - Ability to coordinate a team and implement departmental initiatives - Able to run a forklifts, pallet jacks, - Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs and Travelers - Working knowledge of quality control systems and inventory flow / control - Skilled at multi-tasking, prioritizing and great organizational skills - Capability to identify, write, and perform corrective action issues - Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred - Process timesheets ### About the Company **About Legrand** Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
