## Description This position will work Monday - Thursday from 5:45pm-4:15am. OBJECTIVES: Implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, food safety, quality, cost objectives, and employee and service recipient development. Self-confident, self-starter, shows initiative, ability to multi -task, with solid organizational skills - Can work in a fast paced and multi-faceted environment - Set priorities, act timely, and abide by the rules of confidentiality - Ability to demonstrate good work habits and interactive skills - Show skills needed to set priorities, analyze information and situations and provide feedback - Show desire to be a continuous learner - Ability to conduct oneself as a role model, and maintain a high level of professionalism as a company representative ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS: - Supervise, direct and train employees and clients, with varying skills and abilities, in production areas - Provide orientation to production areas for new employees and clients - Determine competencies for employees and clients working in production areas. - Complete annual performance evaluations for employees - Complete attendance calendars for employees, approve paid time off, and back fill those positions as required for production needs - Promote cross-training opportunities - Manage the environment and training to eliminate hazards and accidents by promoting safe practices - Implement and enforce company policies and practices - Council employees as necessary and participate in disciplinary actions where needed. - Demonstrate, teach, and model good work habits and interactive skills - Responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP’s, OSHA, USDA, and SQF. - Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, product and material integrity. This includes sanitation tasks assigned. - Communicate orally, in writing, or electronically, as appropriate, production data including, but not limited to, inventory, product schedule, supply availability, workforce availability, and shift production reports - Communicate with customers, as needed concerning production, quality, inventory, and shipping. - Complete pre-op and post –op checklist for equipment as applicable - Oversee breakdown/cleaning of equipment for product changeover, including equipment conversion, as applicable - Pull product samples, as applicable. - Ability to communicate effectively on multiple levels, using verbal, computer and written skills - Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions, possess basic math skill comprehension of weights and weight calculations, percentages, number sequences, and distinguish between color codes - Possess the physical ability to stand for an entire shift, lift and carry up to 15 pounds, squat, bend, twist, and have visual acuity for quality inspection, ability to work at heights above ground level. Some tasks may require occasionally lifting and carrying 60 pounds - Maintain current certifications/screenings/coverage and/or working knowledge concerning service recipients. - Conduct 5-Why analysis to identify root causes of problems and develop corrective actions - Assist in implementation of the 5S methodology - Communicate inefficiencies with existing processes - Develop and implement process improvement solutions, utilizing Lean principles - Participate, train, and lead in Redzone QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum High School diploma/GED from an accredited school and recognized by North Carolina as applicable - Minimum 18 years of age - Minimum 2 years as acting supervisor with closely related duties - Acceptable background check, negative drug test, no substantial findings on the NC Health Care Registry, and clear TB test results This job description outlines the major duties and responsibilities assigned to this job.
