Production Supervisor

Oversee plant operations; includes shift to shift coordination, maintaining safety and security throughout entire facility and ensuring efficient production. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises, directs and assists in overall operation of the facility including safety, training, observing, scheduling, reviewing and counseling employees. Ensures quality and quantity of products produced. - Ensure efficient operation of facility; including authorizing scheduling changes to coincide with scheduled production needs. - Responsible for building security; including setting alarms and granting or denying access to the facility. ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT OR POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Completes production reports. - Complies with and enforces safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire; steel-toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed), is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, always make sure safety guards and contactors are in place and operational. Maintains clean machines and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc). - All other duties as assigned. REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS (relates to physical environment): Manufacturing environment. Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc -- all materials an employee may come in contact with are detailed with readily available MSDS sheets), and constant noise. Must be able to work in hot or cold weather. **POSITION REPORTS TO** Plant Manager **POSITION INTERACTS WITH** Cenveo staff, contractors and vendors. **Cenveo is an EEO Employer** Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum-- Three years previous manufacturing experience. Preferred--Approximately five years supervision experience. Experience in the envelope industry a plus. Special Skills Required: - Excellent time management and communication skills. - Basic written and verbal communications skills. - Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler.
