Production Supervisor 1st shift (Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

**Production Supervisor** **Summary:** As a Product Engineer, you will be working collaboratively and independently with other designers, engineers, and departments who are responsible for the design, support and manufacturing of Commercial HVAC products. You will learn how to take a product from concept to customer with a focus on internal systems, performance components, manufacturing efficiency, and engineering data. ***Our Mission:**KCC enhances the lives of our customers, partners, employee-owners, and communities by providing innovative HVAC solutions.* Benefits: - 9 Paid Holidays - Health, Dental, Vision insurance, and other Ancillary coverages - 401K - Monthly Accrued Vacation - Employee Assistance Program - Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP - Company paid life insurance - Long term disability insurance **Essential Functions:** - Continuously seeking opportunities for improvement within current processes. - Maintaining and improving current 5S standards. - Provide coverage and support to other areas outside of your jurisdiction as required. - Promote and enforce safety throughout the plant by building a culture of safety (See Safety Responsibilities below). - Provides daily direction to the production team leaders and team members to ensure the manufacturing of quality products. - Conducts daily meetings with the production team to pass along relevant information about safety, quality, production, & other plant related communications. - Ability to understand problems that arise from the production area; and must work with team to develop & implement corrective action. - Facilitates training & development of team members / Ensure all Team Members are being trained to standard work. - Supports kaizen events. - Maintains training matrix of team members. - Prepares relevant KPIs daily and posts to SQDC board. - Maintains team member attendance records. - Approves employee time off requests and manages team member payroll. - Follows guidelines in employee handbook for progressive discipline. - Responsible for appraisal & discipline of all team members within the team, as needed. - Keeps a positive attitude and encourages positive employee relations. **Safety Responsibilities:** - Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations. - Participate and/or lead toolbox talks & monthly training. - Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers. - Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management. - Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner. - Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner. **Competencies:** - Safety Minded - Ethical Conduct - Communication Proficiency - Results Driven - Initiative - Team Oriented - Maintains a great attendance record **Supervisory Responsibility:** This position will help lead the Production team and be responsible for production matters. **Environment:** While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member will be in a manufacturing environment where loud noises and hot or cold temperatures are possible. **Physical Demands:** - Stand: Frequently - Walk: Frequently - Sit: Occasionally - Handle parts, tools, or controls: Frequently - Reach: Frequently - Climb, balance, stoop, kneel – Occasionally - Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. – Occasionally - Repetitive Motions - Occasionally - Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus **Position Type/ Hours of Work:** This is a full-time position working 8 hours per day with possible overtime. **Education & Experience:** - Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent - Maintain a great attendance record **Other Duties:** Please note this job description is not designed to cover or…
