This is a critical operational role responsible for driving throughput, coordinating production schedules, leading the project management team and working with shop supervisors to efficiently assemble and ship systems. The right candidate brings deep familiarity with industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing environments and knows how to translate business priorities into shop-floor execution. * * * **Key Responsibilities** **Operations & Production** - Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple assembly shops, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met - Drive continuous improvement in workflow, floor layout, and assembly processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime - Monitor production KPIs and report regularly to senior leadership on output, capacity utilization, and operational risks **Scheduling & Capacity Planning** - Develop and manage master production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and customer order requirements - Anticipate capacity constraints and proactively evaluate staffing, sequencing, and resource allocation to meet demand - Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering, and sales to align material availability with production timelines **People Leadership** - Directly lead project management team providing coaching, performance feedback, and development support - Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for production staff - Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and craftsmanship on the shop floor
