The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for coordinating material flow through the prefab and warehouse operation, including receiving deliveries, verifying materials, performing system transactions, staging materials for production, and preparing completed assemblies for shipment. This role supports daily warehouse operations through safe equipment operation, inventory accuracy, and collaboration with production, purchasing, and project teams. Receiving & Material Control - Receive inbound deliveries and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders - Inspect materials for damage and accuracy - Perform material receipt transactions in company software systems - Label and properly store materials in designated warehouse locations - Coordinate resolution of receiving discrepancies Material Staging & Production Support - Stage materials for prefab and assembly operations - Maintain material availability for scheduled production activities - Coordinate movement of materials between warehouse and fabrication areas - Support workflow efficiency through organized staging practices Shipping & Outbound Logistics - Prepare completed assemblies for shipment - Package materials to prevent damage during transit - Coordinate outbound freight scheduling as needed - Load trucks safely and efficiently Inventory Accuracy & Systems - Maintain accurate inventory through timely system updates - Perform cycle counts as assigned - Assist with inventory organization and location management - Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes Equipment Operation - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safely - Support loading/unloading operations - Follow all safety policies and procedures Warehouse Coordination Support - Assist with daily workflow coordination across receiving, staging, and shipping activities - Communicate material shortages or issues impacting production - Support organization and housekeeping of warehouse areas - Assist with training or mentoring newer warehouse personnel as needed Qualifications and Requirements: - High School Diploma (or equivalent) required - Two year prior warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience required - Forklift experience required (certification preferred) - Experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred - Ability to read packing slips and purchase orders - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain positions
