Product Support Sales Representative - EPG (North)

The Product Support Sales Representative-EPG is responsible for maximizing the sale of parts and service to customers and prospective customers in an assigned territory. Individual sales objectives must be met while working with customers to manage their equipment to maintain the lowest possible cost per hour and maximize dependability and uptime. The ability to communicate the value of purchasing premium parts and service in a price sensitive market is necessary. The Product Support Sales Representative will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. **Essential Responsibilities & Expectations** - Maximize parts and service sales in assigned territory - Assist with sale of new equipment - Develop and sell customer support agreements, connectivity, and extended service coverages - Customize maintenance programs per customer requests - Sell fuel solutions to critical infrastructure businesses such as data centers and medical facilities - Maintain accurate customer data records - Assist in collection of past due invoices - Monitor and report product performance and competitive activity - Provide liaison support between customer, TTCo, and our vendors - Establish and maintain personal working relationships with customers - Follow up on past repairs to ensure customer satisfaction - Inform customers on status of repairs - Negotiate mutually agreeable settlements on customer complaints **Qualifications** *Education* - High school diploma or the equivalent required; college degree preferred *Experience* - Previous experience in parts or service operations and a working knowledge of the Electrical Power Generation industry is preferred. - Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required. - Candidates must possess the ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies: *Skills and Competencies* - Customer acquisition skills - Advanced sales execution skills - Relationship building and customer retention skills - Problem resolution skills - Basic mechanical and parts identification skills - Written communication skills - Basic computing skills including Microsoft Office *Job Training* - Area specific parts and service training - TTCo and Caterpillar computer programs - OSHA required training - Compliance training **Safety Summary** *Working Conditions* - Work is normally performed in a customer or company shop or office environment. - Limited exposure to physical risk and variable conditions is associated with this position. - Driving for extended periods of time and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time is often required. *Physical Requirements* - Speaking - Listening - Writing - Typing - Reaching - Kneeling - Grasping - Stooping - Lifting items up to 100 lbs. - Climbing on equipment - Driving (day and night) *Job Hazards* - Strains due to lifting - Hand injuries - Driving related hazards - Equipment movement - Slips, trips, falls - Overexertion due to stress and fatigue ***Thompson Tractor is an Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.***
