This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of payments infrastructure, partner integrations, and merchant experience. You will work closely with Engineering, Commercial, Design, and our ISV/SaaS partners to shape the future of how merchants accept payments in-person — across gyms, studios, childcare centres, and field service businesses globally. **What You'll Do** *Product Strategy & Roadmap* - Own and maintain the In Person Payments product roadmap, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic positioning. - Define the SoftPOS and Hardware product strategy in alignment with the broader embedded payments vision. - Identify market trends, competitor movements, and partner requirements to inform prioritisation. - Contribute to the Xplor Embedded Payments global product strategy under the VP of Product. *Discovery & Requirements* - Lead structured product discovery for SoftPOS and hardware payment flows, including tap-to-pay, contactless, and peripheral device management. - Conduct merchant, partner (ISV/SaaS), and internal stakeholder interviews to surface unmet needs. - Write clear, outcome-oriented PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering squads. - Own problem framing and solution validation before committing engineering capacity. *Delivery & Execution* - Work day-to-day with engineering squads (based globally) to ensure in-person payments roadmap items are delivered on time, with quality. - Manage dependencies with payment scheme certifications (Visa, Mastercard), acquirer integrations, and hardware vendors. - Define and track KPIs for In Person Payments: activation rates, TPV, transaction success rates, chargeback ratios, and NPS. - Champion a test-and-learn culture — define experiments, interpret results, and iterate rapidly. - Leverage AI product tools to accelerate discovery synthesis, PRD drafting, sprint planning, and competitive analysis — operating at a higher output cadence than a traditional PM. *Commercial & Vendor Management* - Own commercial relationships with Key Injection Facility (KIF) and Deployment partners — managing SLA performance, pricing negotiations, scope, and capacity planning as terminal volumes scale. - Own the In Person Payments hardware inventory model: work with Supply Chain and Finance to forecast demand, manage buffer stock levels, minimise write-off risk, and optimise working capital tied up in terminal inventory. - Define and execute the GTM motion for In Person Payments — partnering with Commercial, Marketing, and Business Divisions to drive terminal attach rates, SoftPOS adoption, and in-person TPV growth. - Build and maintain a pricing and commercialisation framework for hardware (outright sale, rental, and as-a-service models) that maximises revenue contribution from the In Person Payments line. - Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing merchant base — working with Business Units to convert card-not-present merchan…
