The Product Engineer will manage technical projects, support existing production products, perform mechanical calculations, and contribute to developing new and improved components. This role requires strong data analysis skills, precise engineering judgment, and the ability to apply mechanical engineering principles in both office and hands-on environments. **Job Type:** Full-time, onsite located in either Huntingdon TN or Sullivan IL or Princeton KY **Salary:** Commensurate with experience (includes salary + biannual bonus) **Benefits**: [Link for Benefits and Pay Range](https://www.hydro-gear.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Product-Engineering.pdf) or copy the following in a browser https://www.hydro-gear.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Product-Engineering.pdf **What You’ll Do as a Product Engineer** - Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation - Perform detailed mechanical calculations, analysis, and verification work - Support existing production products with technical updates and troubleshooting - Use CAD software (NX, Pro-E, or similar) to design and refine components - Assemble, test, and evaluate prototype hardware hands-on - Analyze data from reliability tests, measurements, and performance evaluations - Review and resolve supplier non-conformances using root-cause analysis - Contribute to cost-reduction and cost-avoidance initiatives using data-driven decisions - Process customer and internal engineering sample requests - Apply mechanical engineering standards, design principles, and process guidelines ## Requirements **What You Need as a Product Engineer** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 6 years of related engineering experience - Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals (materials, structures, mechanics) - Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling (NX, Pro-E, or similar) - Experience performing engineering math (geometry, trigonometry, statistics, tolerance analysis) - Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, and draw technical conclusions - Strong project management and documentation skills - Ability to communicate technical information clearly
