# **About E2B** E2B is a fast-growing Series A startup with 8-figure revenue. We've raised over $37M since our founding in 2023. Our customers include companies like Microsoft, Perplexity, Hugging Face, Manus, and Groq. We're building the next hyperscaler for AI agents. # About the role Your job will be to own and scale the **backend that powers the E2B** [**Dashboard**](https://github.com/e2b-dev/dashboard) **and SDK** -the APIs, data, and services developers rely on to run, monitor, and debug their sandboxes. You're the backend counterpart to our dashboard engineers: they own the experience, you own the services and data behind it, and together you ship product end-to-end. This is **product/application backend** - APIs, data layer, auth, billing, usage metrics, real-time log/metric pipelines. It is *not* our low-level infrastructure (Firecracker, orchestration, the sandbox runtime) - that lives with our Core and Platform teams, who you'll integrate with but not duplicate. The split is roughly **80% Go backend, 20% TypeScript**. You live in Go, but you're comfortable dropping into the Next.js app to wire things up end-to-end and unblock the frontend rather than throwing work over a wall. You'll build enterprise-grade services that scale to 100k+ weekly active users. Responsibilities include: - Owning the Go services behind the dashboard and SDK. APIs, data models, and the contracts the frontend builds on - Designing auth/authorization, billing, and usage-metering surfaces - Building the real-time backends (WebSockets, SSE) that feed sandbox logs and metrics to the dashboard - Optimizing data access and server-side performance like query design, caching, response times - Partnering closely with dashboard engineers to ship features end-to-end, and with Core/Platform on the boundaries where product meets infrastructure - Making architectural decisions around observability, testing, and security best practices This role requires a high amount of ownership and the ability to take projects from 0 to 1. You'll have deep autonomy to make backend and product decisions. If you see a better way to build something, you build it. # What we're looking for - 3-5+ years shipping production backend services, with deep expertise in **Go** - Strong API design with REST/RPC, contracts, versioning, and an eye for the interface the frontend needs - Solid with **PostgreSQL**: schema design, query optimization, migrations, and reasoning about data at scale - Backend fundamentals: authentication/authorization, server-side performance, and building real-time data flows (WebSockets, SSE) - **Working TypeScript(Next.js is a plus) competence**. You won't live here, but you can move into the app-router frontend to wire up a feature end-to-end and not be lost - Understand data fetching patterns on frontend side - Excited to work in person from Prague on a devtool product - Ownership mentality: you see projects through from conception to launch to iteration - Comfortable talking to customers and explaining technical tradeoffs - Not being afraid to take ownership of your part of the product - Great communication, curiosity, and interest in the AI space If you join E2B, you'll get a lot of freedom. We expect you to be proactive and take ownership. You'll be taking projects from 0 to 1 with the support of the rest of the team. # **What it’s like to work at E2B** We’re a fast-growing startup with in-person (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH) offices in **San Francisco and Prague, Czech Republic**. We already generate 8-figure revenue and work directly with top-tier AI companies like Groq, Manus, Hugging Face, Lindy, and other exciting teams pushing the frontier of AI. We offer healthcare, vision, and dental insurance, unlimited PTO, 401k, and a variety of perks for in-office employees.
