Your passion for engaging with customers and innovative engineering will drive progress in our industry, tackling the once unsolvable. ## **What you’ll do** - Lead product development projects from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support. - Lead technical brainstorming activities and problem-solving methodologies for effective solution path determination. - Drive risk identification and mitigation/avoidance actions. - Oversee FMEA process and leverage results for qualification strategy development. - Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products. - Independently design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems. - Present on project status and final engineering results at various settings including business organization level review meetings. - Provide engineering support for resolving customer escalations related to product issues. - Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment. ## **Who we’re looking for** - Bachelor's degree with 12+ years experience; or Master's degree with 8+ years experience; or PhD with 5+ years experience; or equivalent experience. - 9+ years applicable experience and manufacturing processes and design, preferably in the semiconductor industry, including equivalent experience from an advanced degree in relevant technical fields. - BS/MS degree in the following technical fields: Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; Advanced degree PhD desirable, but level of work experience also considered. - Strong project management, communication/presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), statistical measurements/analysis and hypothesis tests, as well as a high level of proficiency with statistical analysis software such as JMP, Origin, or MiniTab. - Knowledge of plasma chamber equipment subsystems and operating principles. - Knowledge of fundamental electromagnetics, RF power delivery, and plasma processing chemistries. - Demonstrated capability for hands-on equipment operation and troubleshooting. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software. - Fluent in the English language, both writing and verbal communication. ## **Preferred qualifications** - PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 6+ years applicable experience in semiconductor industry. - Experience with program team leadership, especially cross-functional teams with various engineering disciplines. - Experience in leading risk identification and mitigation efforts, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and problem solving as well as Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA) for projects. - General knowledge of dry etch process applications as well as effect of process parameters (power, pressure, temp, chemistry, etc.) on etch results such as etch rate, selectivity, profile, and defectivity. - Experience with wafer metrology equipment such as SEM, CDSEM, Ellipsometry, and Optical Defect Inspection. - Knowledge of semiconductor device manufacturing, including common operations such as lithography, wet and dry etching, deposition, electroplating, and CMP. ## **Our commitment** We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve the…
