**Job title: Water/Wastewater Process Engineer (PE)** Location: Greenville, SC (onsite) Job type: Full-time/permanent Relocation: Yes Interview: Must interview onsite in Greenville, SC As part of our client's Greenville Water Design Center, this **Process Engineer Lead** will be responsible for building, leading and managing an integral group of engineering professionals in support of various projects. As part of a multi-discipline team, your team will be responsible for process design and management in support of Water Services Group projects company-wide. Diversity in high-volume, custom plant projects will allow this senior engineer the opportunity to be hands-on with design, implement, and optimize **water and wastewater treatment processes directly involved with client services,** provide mentorship to team members, and actively participate in marketing initiatives. **What you'll do:** Generally, the responsibilities of this role will entail taking projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents, including facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, equipment vendor coordination, management and coordination of support discipline activities, coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies, as well as quality assurance and control. Ideal candidates shall be capable of evaluating and designing major process equipment for a wide variety of water and wastewater related infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants and facilities. **Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:** - Supporting regional teams with treatment related business development activities - Developing conceptual level designs for water and wastewater treatment systems - Developing detailed designs, including contract documents (plans and specifications) - Coordinating with process mechanical team for detailed design services for treatment facilities - Preparing design calculations, coordinating with other support discipline activities on projects, coordinating with regional Garver offices and regulating agencies, construction cost estimating, and quality assurance and control - Managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products which adhere to Garver standardization - Be included in client meetings, industry conferences, and serve as a subject matter expert for the Water Business Line Some travel is required for business development, including **proposal development, interviews, knowledge transfer, and conference attendance**. Project-specific travel for **site assessments, workshops, design reviews, and construction support** is also expected. The role demands a collaborative approach to **resolve issues through close team interaction**, foster a **positive team attitude**, and **recruit and develop an efficient process team**. Additionally, the process group leader will **coordinate workload across Water Design Centers**. **Minimum Requirements:** ***Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in several states including SC, NC, GA, FL, TN or be close to acquiring*** - Masters Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program - Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license or with the ability to be licensed - 7+ years of municipal water/wastewater process related design experience (not industrial) - 2+ years of experience leading design projects - Process modeling software experience such as Hydromatis GPS-X, Dynamita Sumo, and/or EnviroSim BioWin Our client is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on aviation, transportation, buildings, federal, water and wastewater services; surveying; advisory services; and construction engineering and inspection.
