# **PRN X-Ray Technologist** **Location:** DFW Area, Texas **Schedule:** PRN / As Needed Monday – Friday **Compensation:** Competitive pay based on experience ## **Requirements** - Current **Texas Medical Board (GMR)** certification - Current **ARRT (R)** certification - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program - Current BLS certification preferred - Excellent patient care and communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team ## **Job Summary** North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dependable, patient-focused **PRN X-Ray Technologist** to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers. Locations: https://www.northstardiagnosticimaging.com/locations ## **Responsibilities** - Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and established protocols. - Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience. - Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards. - Practice radiation safety by following ALARA principles and utilizing appropriate shielding techniques. - Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging. - Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record. - Maintain imaging equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions. - Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols. - Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care. - Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. - Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations. ## **What We Offer** - Flexible PRN scheduling - Competitive pay based on experience - Modern outpatient imaging environment - Supportive team culture - Opportunities for additional shifts across multiple locations - Potential opportunities to cross-train into other modalities as available If you're a dependable, patient-centered technologist looking for flexible PRN work with a growing outpatient imaging organization, we'd love to hear from you!
